React Job: Junior Web Developer

We are looking for a highly motivated and result oriented team player for a Junior Web Developer position. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of web development processes, techniques and tools. They should be well organized and be able to understand and communicate project requirements. This will be a great opportunity for someone who is active and enthusiastic about work and willing to learn and progress.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Write well-designed, testable and efficient code by using best software development practices
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Manage both front-end and back-end development
• Review, analyze and discuss specification documents to clearly define requirements and propose solutions
• You will use your programming and technical expertise to develop custom solutions to improve the documentation process and customer experience
• Stay up-to-date and make recommendations regarding web technologies
• Communicate effectively with clients and vendors

Education

• Graduation from a recognized community college or university with specialization in computer science, web development or related field

Requirements

• Work with one or more of the following technologies: SQL/NoSQL Databases, JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, HTML/CSS, Shopify and Wordpress
• Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task within specified timelines and budgets
• Living in Metro Vancouver

Nice to Have

• Projects that demonstrate your love of web development
• Knowledge, experience and certification of AWS, Azure or GCP
• Exposure to DevOps and GIT
• Knowledge, experience and certification of Salesforce

• 8 hour shift
